Who Can Access AI Classifiers?
For Admin users: How to manage access for AI Classifiers
Introduction
We recently implemented role-based access to AI Classifiers in PatentSight+. PatentSight + Admins now have control over who can view and use AI classifiers in searches and analyses, who can provide feedback for AI classifiers, and who can also be given admin access to do the same. Previously, users could see all exported classifiers by default. We outline these permissions below. For full details on sharing and access control for AI classifiers, click here.
Who Can Access AI Classifiers?
Only users explicitly granted access will see and use AI Classifiers in their PatentSight+ dashboards and analyses. This ensures compliance with licensing agreements and governance policies.
This new functionality means that PatentSight+ admins can now:
- share AI classifiers with specific PatentSight+ users,
- control the level of access each user has by granting Read, Feedback, or Admin access themselves,
- grant access to individual AI classifiers or entire taxonomy nodes
If you don’t see AI Classifiers (even if you had default access before), contact your PatentSight+ Admin User or Customer Success Manager (CSM).
Access For Non-Admin Users
- Contact your Admin or CSM and request access to specific AI Classifiers.
- AI Classifiers will become visible in PatentSight+ within 24 hours.
For Admin users: How to manage access for AI Classifiers
- Open Manage Access for AI Classifiers from the Options menu in PatentSight+.
2. Select an AI classifier from the list and click on “Actions”. Select access rights from the Sharing Settings.
Access Rights
- Read: View and use AI Classifiers (e.g., search, sort, tables, charts).
- Feedback: Submit feedback via the feedback card in the result list family viewer.
- Admin: Grant or revoke access for other users and groups.
Note:
- Access rights set in PatentSight+ apply only within PatentSight+.
- Access to classifiers in the Classification application is managed separately with its own permissions.
