What has changed?
Protégé now provides clearer system feedback, more predictable conversation behaviour, and improved recovery paths when failures occur.
Why it matters
Exploratory analysis depends on momentum. Ambiguous failures, unstable conversation ordering, or lost drafted prompts interrupt analytical flow and increase cognitive overhead.
These improvements make active work easier to track, recover, and continue across multiple conversations.
Analytical behaviour
Error handling and recovery: Retry actions are available directly within the error state. Error states now distinguish between common failure types such as timeout, authorisation, network and server failures
Conversation status visibility: Active conversations display clearer streaming status alongside loading indicators
Conversation ordering and recency: Conversation history ordering is now based on latest modification activity rather than original creation time
Draft preservation per conversation: Draft prompts are preserved within their originating conversation. Switching conversations restores the draft for that conversation.

While benchmarking large competitor portfolios, an analysis times out. Protégé flags the timeout, preserves the drafted prompt, and allows the analyst to refine scope and retry without losing analytical context.
